How to organize my Personal Library?

Learn how to create, rename and delete new libraries or subfolders

In its standard set-up, Moovly provides users with millions of media assets you can use to create your video content. All these objects are royalty free, which means you can use them without worrying about intellectual property or copyright. (If you combine them with your own uploads, always make sure you have the rights or intellectual property to do so!)

All these objects in Moovly are organized in libraries (e.g. Business Graphics, Cartoon, Doodle Maker, Infographics, iStock by Getty Images, Soundstripe Music, and Unsplash), which you can find on the left-hand side of the Editor application. Apart from these standard libraries, you also have a Personal Library, in which you can upload your own media or save modified or recorded assets.

If you have a paid Moovly subscription, you can create additional personal libraries, and for example create a specific library per project, per client etc. You can rename these libraries and move objects from one library to another. If you are part of a team or organization with workspaces or user groups in Moovly, these libraries can also be shared with a group.

Creating new libraries

Follow the steps below to create a new personal library:

1. Click the '+' next to 'Your Libraries'. A new, empty library will be created.

2. Choose a name for your new library and hit Enter:

3. Your new library will be added and will be sorted in alphabetical order:

Deleting and renaming a library

Once you have created one or more additional libraries, you can rename or delete them. Note this is only possible with personal libraries you have created. You are not able to rename or delete your default Personal Library.

Moving objects from one library to another

If you have multiple personal libraries, you can move or copy objects from one library to another. Note this is only possible with uploaded objects in personal libraries that you have created.

To move or copy an object from one personal library to another, right-click the object, choose ‘Move’ or ‘Copy’ and select the Destination library:
