Exciting news! Moovly is introducing a new, credits-based option for exporting your videos. Working with credits enables us to offer you an additional option next to our subscription plans: “Pay as you go”. 

Whether you're a seasoned Moovly user or just getting started, understanding how credits work is crucial for maximizing your Moovly experience.

What are credits?

Credits are like your video export currency. Depending on your Moovly plan, you'll receive a certain number of credits. Each credit can be used for one video export, for example, a download or a publish action. In other words, when you render your project into a video or publish it to an external video platform, a credit will be deducted from your balance. This balance, showing your remaining credits, is visible on your Projects Dashboard in the bottom left corner, or in your Settings.

How many credits do you get?

Depending on the plan you signed up for, you will receive the following number of credits:

• Standard plans:

• Free: 0 credits, pay-as-you-go, beginning at $20 USD per credit.

• Monthly subscription: 50 credits each month.
  

• Yearly subscription: 600 credits each year 

• Education (Edu) plans:

• Edu Free: 0 credits, pay-as-you-go, beginning at $20 USD per credit.

• Edu Monthly subscription: 50 credits every month.

• Edu Yearly subscription: 600 credits every year

• Pay as you go: 

• As a Free user, you can purchase credits in line with your needs: volume packs of 5 or 10 with large discounts

• Note that as of a certain number of credits, a subscription becomes more interesting (including 50 credits per month or 600/year)

Free preview export: Try before you commit

We know you want to make sure everything looks perfect. That's why we offer all our users a free preview export. This preview will render your video in 480p with a maximum length of 2 minutes and includes a Moovly watermark. If your project is longer, it will render the first 2 minutes. It's a great way to make sure your project is polished and error-free before using your credits.

The best part? Once your project is rendered in a certain format or resolution, you can download or publish that particular version an unlimited number of times without spending another credit. 

Use your credits wisely! Here's the key tip:

Make sure your project is finished and error-free before you spend your credits. If you have rendered your video and made new changes to it afterward, a new credit will be needed. Likewise, if you want to export your project in a different video format or quality, it will require you to spend another credit. 

If your project requires many updates or if you have multiple projects to work on, a subscription will quickly become more interesting than purchasing credits: With a subscription, you get 50 new credits every month or 600 for the year, bringing the price per credit down to less than $1 or $2!

Running low on credits? Here’s how to get more!

If you are running out of credits, you can always purchase additional ones in one of the following ways:

• Purchase a volume pack (5, 10…) with pricing per credit of $15, $10 or lower

• Upgrade to a subscription plan with a price per credit of less than $2 or lower
