How to generate a video using your own script

Have a script but unsure how to turn it into a video? Moovly's got you covered! This FAQ will walk you through every step of the process, from uploading your script in the Moovly editor to adding visuals and music. Don't have a script yet? Using AI Video Generation 

Step 1: Script

Click "Use my own script" and enter your text in the provided field. This will be the script for your video.
Once your text is ready, click "Convert to clips". Moovly will automatically break down your script into individual scenes (clips) based on natural breaks in the text.


Step 2: Clips

In the Clips section, you can review edit, add, or remove each scene (clips) created from your script. If needed, adjust the text or order of the clips to better fit your narrative. Moovly will automatically choose visuals for each scene based on the content of your script.



Step 3: Visuals

In this step, the AI suggests visuals for each scene based on your script’s context. Now, you also have the option to choose the library from which the AI selects visuals. This means you can use:
  1. Your own or company media library – Select visuals from your uploaded files or your organization's branded assets.
  2. Stock libraries – Choose from various stock media sources available within Moovly.
  3. AI-suggested visuals – Let the AI automatically pick visuals based on the script.
Additionally, you can:
  1. Replace any suggested visual if you prefer a different one.
  2. Remove visuals entirely if they are not needed.
This flexibility ensures your video aligns with your brand and message while giving you full creative control.


Step 4: Styling

In the Styling step, you can adjust how the text appears in your video.
  1. No text: no text will be shown in your video
  2. On Screen text: each scene or clip will have visible text
  3. Subtitles: Each scene or clip will have text shown as subtitles
Decide on your text style:
  1. Preset Styles: Choose from Moovly's preset styles for a quick and easy look.
  2. Manual Styling: For more control, you can manually customize the text style, including font, color, size, and positioning.


Step 5: Audio

In the last step, you get the option to add background music and/or a voice-over:
  1. Background music from our stock library will be available to enhance your video.
  2. Voice-Over: Add a voice-over that narrates your script. We offer a wide selection of available voices in different languages. 


Step 6: Create Video

  1. Review and Finalize: Before generating your video, review all the elements – script, visuals, styling, and audio.
  2. Generate Video: Click "Create video" to start the video generation process. Moovly will compile all your elements into a polished video.
  3. Further Editing: After the video is generated, you can make additional edits if needed to perfect your final product.
